If JVR was going to take phillys first to dump then I bet gardiner would cost the canes their first, or a second minimum to dump

Who is Ethan Bear?

Since you gotta sign him, may as well include him in the Gardiner thing

He missed all last season from injury/surgery, but says he wants to return this season.

So no.

JVR is a guy at a 7m cap hit for one more year. Gardiner is a 4m guy for the one year as well. How is one who costs 3m less costing the first round pick

One is a serviceable middle-6 forward, the other hasn't played hockey in over a year. Also, Philly's first and Carolina's first are pretty far apart in value.

Might not be a first, but it'll cost more than this. Not that the Devils will be involved, they don't have the cap space to make moves like these anymore.

Can't see why Jersey would do that.

Tbh the canes are probably moving gardiner plus a day 2 pick for future considerations and make a run at getting necas and Nino back. Although gardiner hasn’t played in a game in over a year, reports are he is looking good on the ice.

I was thinking Gardiner was at 5 million AAV for some reason. Yeah, it would probably only take a second or third then. They should probably just buy him out then but idk if they can since he was on LTIR.
Cardiak liked this.

Don’t see why any Metro team would help you offload Gardiner so you can get Necas and Nino back. Gonna have to ship him out west.

That’s the point of a successful offer sheet
