Guhle instead of mallioux and I think the jets actually consider. The fact that ppl think mallioux holds value in this league is awful. Surprised he was even drafted especially after he was asked not to be drafted.

Considering two of the pieces from Montreal are cap dumps, one has no value and one has minimal value, it's an extremely easy get lost from Chevy.

Lol. Okay then. You may want to educate yourself on how trades work. It seems you're a little ignorant on the subject.

Lol. Okay then. As I said, take some time, research how contracts work, research how trades work and you won't sound so uneducated on those subjects.

Nobody cares what mallioux is going to be. He is literally the scum of the NHL. Shouldn’t have been drafted in the first place. The fact that you think he holds value is absurd and the fact you think the fact he is a RHD is what makes him more of a commodity than guhle who is a much better player and a non problematic one at that. I doubt anybody is trading to get mallioux anytime soon even if he is in a package for a better player.

Ok, jet’s are more likely to sit him for two years and pay him a fraction of his contract based on the fact he is a healthy scratch. Also if PLD is going to do that in Winnipeg what means he won’t do that in montreal?

Mailloux could be traded, but not near his draft value. The only way Montreal recoups value from that pick, is to stick with him and develop his character as they promised.
Hoffman might require a concession to include. Perhaps that means the Florida pick is unprotected and Winnipeg bets on it being in the first half of the round.
Ylonen is (hopefully) the next Lehkonen type player. His value won't be realized until later in his career, if he reaches that potential.
Dvorak is still promising as a strong all situations C that could see more production in a better situation. He still has the value of a 1st, maybe more, or you don't trade him.
Byron just isn't necessary here. He has value to the Habs or at the deadline, but means little to Winnipeg.

I don't think most of the league views Dvorak as highly as a year ago, but that can change quickly with a strong season. Teams may want to buy low on him, but Montreal shouldn't sell low.
If you count him as at least the value of a 1st round pick: It's roughly equivalent to two 1sts + any prospect not named Guhle or added by Hughes (+Hoffman only if necessary). That's not a bad return for a player with demonstrable issues and reluctance to remain with the teams that invest in him. Both sides need to temper expectations, but Montreal has to be the first to walk away if the ask goes higher.
Montreal still owes Dvorak and Dach a solid shot with a fresh start to a season after a full camp, before deciding to give up on either player being a potential 2C.

These are getting ****ing stupid. Jets take on what, 12M? 7.5M of it is ****ty cap while really not get anything of substance other than a 23 yr old in the AHL and a guy the media dept. wouldn’t want anything to do with.
Dvorak and the 1st are the only thing with any sort of value here. If you want the Jets to eat that much more cap you better damn well have something better coming back

He has grown since leaving Columbus and the fact that he want to go to UFA status means he will not pull this crap he did with Columbus. Good attitude means a great contract. If the trade happens soon then WPG will be happy with the return as WPG does not have to trade him in the near future.
