17 goals isn’t bad, but he had 50 points total in the playoffs. Most of them came in his last 3 post season campaigns.

I disagree here. Kerfoot would provide much needed center depth and would play a bigger role than Justus will this year.

Tavares and Baily had really good chemistry. Kerfoot/Mikheyev- Tavares and Nylander wasn't good enough in Keefe's eyes last year. They both make 5 mil i think its a good deal. The islanders need space for Bellows and Wahlstrom deserves 2RW next season. Baily or Palmeri going down makes an expensive 3rd line. We need a spot for Sandin it seems like he doesn't think he has a chance to succeed in Toronto. I think its a good exchange, both sides aren't happy per say but its different lolz

Fair but its probably sell off baily with an asset or future considerations just like it is with Muzzin. Plus Muzzin and Dobson could be an old school style pairing. Its for 2 years, slip Salo in sometimes till he's ready to take the reins.

Who are the “ they both make 5M”? Mikheyev and Bailey? We let Mikheyev go b/c we couldn’t afford 5M, so why would we trade for a player not as good making the same?

It doesn’t make sense to do that for NY. Salo is already NHL ready and will be on the 3rd pair. Romanov is going to play 2nd pair with Dobson. Muzzin isn’t an upgrade at this point.
