Will be interesting what’s on hughes list of exit Montreal and how many they can stick Winnipeg with, still think it’s a drouin/Hoffman/Armia, mailoux, dvorak and Florida first. Montreal going to be able to restock with ufas, so some vets with term aren’t that big of deal. Matter of clearing some cap and roster room going forward. Mailoux might not be touched though so possibly a different prospect of some sort.

What's interesting is Dvorak's career PPG is 0.5 and Dubois' career PPG is 0.66. Dvorak is 2 years older, but locked up on a cheaper deal. Dvorak is probably the ideal roster player return for WPG.

On the athletic podcast they were talking about WPG's need for a big RW (with Anderson in mind), but Armia also fits that bill.

If MTL adds a sweetener (pick or prospect), than that should be enough for WPG given the circumstances IMO. Hard to see another team offering a better deal than that knowing Dubois won't sign long term.

Devils have no need to do this. Actually less than 0. They have their own contracts that could use shipping out (Tatar, Johnsson). We have 9 mil to sign our RFAs including Bratt and Wood. Devils will not be taking on anymore salary just for the heck of it.
