You made this team very very bad. But didn't trade Hellebuyck so they will still win to many games and somehow didn't get any 1st round picks... what a fail. That's legit the 2-3rd worst forward group in the nhl.

I think that Montreal would still need to send back salary What about

Dach + Drouin + Armia or Byron (your choice) + 2023 1st (Fla) (conditional, if Drouin plays more than 50 games reverts to a 2nd)

The scoring from a healthy Drouin and from Dach should make up for the scoring lost by Dubois. Byron only has a year left on his contract but Armia is a better player and known to the Jets.

If the cost was Drouin, Farrell and a 2nd, then Montreal would create cap space elsewhere. Its not going to be though.

I think if Wheeler had just one year left this would be a great fit for isles, assuming they don't have to make cap room to fit him, and he can simply be an addition to the existing roster. But that 2nd year is where it's likely just too much risk. I don't know how much gas Wheeler has left in the tank, and isles have some pay raises coming up next summer and the following. So, unfortunately, going to say no deal unless WPG retains even more salary, at least another $1.25M.

LOl no worries it's actually pretty hard to gage his value right now cause Jets fans want the moon for him (rightfully so) but Habs fans don't want to move too much since Dubois requested a trade and has Chevy over a barrel so to speak. Also an important thing to note is that the Habs don't have to move off of their price cause he will likely just sign here in 2 years anyway.

ya one guy I was talking to was a habs fan and wanted to offer Savard Ferell and a 2nd. With this trade one of these fan bases will be dissapointed

Didn't say he was. But if you added up all the trade offers that have been on here the last two years "Holl to somewhere for a 4th" on Leafs AGMs would probably be the clear leader.

Why would Carolina do this? Slavin, Skjei, Gardiner, Burns, Pesce, Coghlan, Chatfield, Bear is a loaded D core already

I think you could get a deal done if Dach, Drouin and florida's 1st was involved with conditions.

If the Canes have the cap space available, i think they take that offer. Dillon would be a great addition to an already stacked blue line and would also be a great mentor for the young guns coming up like Keane, Morrow, Coghlan, and Heimosalmi. If the Canes can get extra retention from a 3rd team, that would be the most ideal scenario.
