So the Blues give up Tarasenko, Kyrou, Neighbours & a 1st for a player who is demanding a trade or he walks as an UFA next summer? Two players coming off PPG seasons, an NHL-ready prospect with good upside and a 1st?

Safe to say that's an easy pass.

I don’t see NJD paying for a rental. Feel like we’d be getting short end of stick here.

Tarasenko still has a trade request put in, let’s not forget he still wants out of St. Louis and if St Louis wants to fit Tkachuck in someone will need to be sacrificed and as the market stand right now the asking price for Tkachuck is pretty high, even if reports are saying the team doesn’t have much leverage, he’s still a young 100 point player and has strong ties with St Louis so I’m sure they’d be willing to pony up

I think Sanko would look pretty great in our top 6 tbh but if your afraid of the 1 year label that’s definitely understandable

Him agreeing to a sign and trade, or on the assumption that he'll sign with the team he's traded to, doesn't mean Calgary can expect full value. They don't have leverage to command that.

I mean, we'll likely find out soon enough what he goes for, but I'm expecting a lot of angry Calgary fans based on the stuff getting thrown around.

Personally I think there could be a bidding war that goes on and tbh in this scenario you’re losing a guy that already has 1 foot out the door, a presumably late 1st round pick, a decent prospect that doesn’t really have the room to break onto the team with how crazy the forward depth is already, and Kyrou. Obviously losing Kyrou definitely hurts but I feel like that plus a 1st is easily where the conversation starts.

Tarasenko is great, no worries about him as a player. Id want to be biting off two-three years at a time.

If the team shows up this year like I think they can (especially will the help on tarasenko) I think there is a good chance he might be willing to resign

All true but if Tkachuk gets traded somewhere and signs an extension, St. Louis isn't getting him at all. That's why they're paying up here.
