Kinda wondering why you think that. Nashville has a core that’s in there prime. If poiles smart hell go for it. And getting Mcdonagh and tkachuk would be the step toward that. Might be a little overboard but sissons and fabbro would absolutely have to be in the trade to make the cap work. Trading granlund, duchene or Joey would be counter productive if we’re going for it.

I would switch Tolvanen and send Trenin instead
That bottom isnt good enough to be a contender

I'm neither fan of the preds nor the flames and I don't know much about Tolvanen and Tomasino as prospects/players. But if they're decent, this is a good trade

Just because throwing sissons and fabbro in there make the trade work from a cap standpoint, doesnt mean it makes sense from a value perspective.

I could see Tolvanen, Tomasino, plus 1st working, or something like that. I also think that Calgary doesnt really have an upper hand in negotiations since its well known that tkachuk wants out and its for RFA rights.

Idk… what do i know. I’d love to have tkachuk and i hope we can make something work without being counter-productive like you said

Yea this is an overpay. Specifically becuase I don't think we need to send both Tomasino and Fabbro. At most we send 1 of the 2. This is a bigger haul than Eichel got.
