I think that's where it tops out for NJ.
If they are rebuilding, Severson probably should be replaced with another one of our D

Don't think they will, Think they are going to try and continue to compete and build young prospects like holtz who can jump in now

I don't hate this at all. I think holtz would fit in really well with lindholm and backlund and the rest of team sweden...

Move Severson elsewhere. Swap the third round pick for another first. Tkachuk gets at least 9.5 million per in NJ. Possibly more

The main part of the deal is good. I’m not sure what it will all come down to. What other teams offer etc. If I’m Calgary I’m looking for a stud prospect and two first round picks. The overall value on that trade is there as I don’t think Severson and a third is that far off from a first. But they already have two top four RHD and if it’s me would rather have another first round pick. Holtz and the 2023 first are very good main pieces. Just comes down to what they work out for the remainder. I like Johnsson and he had a much better year but he just doesn’t have much value to a team that just lost their top two centers and are likely looking at a re tool

Unless they flip Severson at the TDL for a pick, but I agree with you on RHD being set. AJ for part of teh money to equal out, hes cap hi more than anything because hes been paid up mostly for the yr in bonus. Another piece like Stillman or similar from our prospect pool. I'm hoping they don't give up Bratt, Sharongovich, Mercer that is the depth they will nede to rely on
