He's $1m TO $2m overpaid.. but no expert would say "Jones isn't very good" and at $5M locked in long term is an absolute steal...one of the best contracts in the NHL at that price. He also wouldn't be playing behind Dahlin because as of now, there is zero question that jones is the better player.

Don't need to try to change your mind, I'm not Jones fan and was highly critical of the price they paid and the contract they handed to him, but there is zero doubt he's a #1 on a lot of teams and a lock for first line on almost every team. Dahlin still needs to grow and he has a good chance passing up Jones, but Jones's IQ, playing the game with pace, and ability to move the puck is superior as of now. I'm frankly higher on Owen Power's ceiling then Dahlin.
