Peeke and Sillinger are untouchable. Personally, I think a Miller trade has to wait for the Tchkuck trade. Miller has not come with an extension to be worth that anyways

True but I don't think they want a Miller, they're stacked offensively and really need to keep Peeke

Would you prefer "the Canucks are incapable of meeting the asking price for Sillinger"?

That’s a no from Columbus. Way too much for 1 player who doesn’t even make us a contender.

With the team you have right now plus Miller, come on, yes he does.

No he doesn’t, Columbus doesn’t have the d core to be a contender, not to mention Miller would likely be a rental unless they find a way to move Voracek so they can afford his extension.

Columbus is still 1-2 years away from being a contender, they need their defence to get better so they’re not playing Werenski and Gavrikov and a bunch of 5-7 defenseman like they currently are.

Columbus has a terrible defense. Sure, Werenski and Boqvist can score goals, but the D as a whole does not excel at preventing them. And I say this as a Jackets fan. It's not even a playoff caliber defense, let alone a cup contender one.

Yeah Miller doesn’t get sillinger one for one. Jarmo seems higher on him than kent Johnson right now. Can’t see him trading any d prospects either. Especially not for a rental.

A quote from Matt Berry as Steven Toast ending in "sky high" seems appropriate here. IYKYK.

CBJ has very offensive parts but wouldn’t say stacked. At C Miller would make their top 6 easily more formidable. Be their top C which they lack. That said Sillinger makes no sense. There is a trade to be had & I too think the package would involve Boqvist.

It’s not about a cup window but more about the road to getting there & Miller would be a big piece & the PP would be very dangerous.

Miller resigning would make a trade more possible or it simply won’t happen.

Personally, I disagree. I think I'd take Peeke over Boqvist because it's a stylistic need.

Boqvist is a powerplay QB type defenseman, and if Rathbone pans out we kinda have enough of that type. He's really good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think the Canucks want 3-4 PP QB style dmen.

Peeke is more of a big, defensive, minute eating, penalty killing defenseman, and would be the perfect partner for Hughes I think.

Stop ogling our RD you darn Canuck fans! Tell us Miller will re-sign for a 5x$6m contract and then we can have a discussion. Otherwise he can just deal with the harsh reality of the UFA market next year.
