Then a conditionally 2nd levels out the offer. Overall, Calgary is getting a young LD with a lot of potential, a hard nose forward who can easily resign in Calgary, and a 1st and a conditional 2nd/3rd round picks.

Calgary is extremely deep at LD. A 1st is a 1st, especially a late 1st, it's not different from this year. Barby very likely overachieved this year considering he's never gotten more than 30 points before and is a rental. This package is not nearly enough value and doesn't address any of Calgary's needs
