Your trade valuations are all over the map.

Vancouver and Winnipeg both accept easily though.

Setting aside that these are all over the shop, you're gonna need to temper your expectations.

Dear Flames fans,

I feel your pain, but here's what it takes to Tkachuk. Best Offer! I mean you can go to arbitration, keep him for a year than lose him for the nothing. There's always that option OR you can accept the best offer from the results of the bidding war. Bottom line, you honestly have no leverage in these negotiations.

Something is always better than nothing. You'd think you'd know this after Gaudreau.

Yeeeah, not so much. To a few teams, sure. The rest need to be reeled in, some hard.

Flames can trade him at the deadline. You really only need 4 teams to drive the price up now, and more than 4 will be desperate then. Brinkmanship!

My favorite part of this hyperbolic trade rant is Pittsburgh having to give up so many draft picks because they have no prospects of value. Lmao

True they can, but it's easier to move him now since money easier to move around. Whoever gets him will want him long term.

Money is easier now, but if Calgary has to go that route, they will be trading other players too, and can take an expiring Ufa from a contender to make it work. They already have tons of Cap room.

I mean if those picks are lottery protected I’d do it. Any chance you’d take Barron instead of Hutson?

He will get something good, probably not great. I think a lot of these are overly optimistic.

Look at what the Sabres got for eichel- the equivalent of 3 first round (probably mid-first) picks plus a second. Maybe it's missing the really high end piece, but it's awfully close to the reported ask of 4 firsts. Plus, the early returns have been very good for buffalo. Not sure how much better Calgary can do, he doesn't have a no trade, but he would have to be agreeable to extend for his value to be max, and if he isn't willing to go to certain places, it probably decreases the return.

I think REALLY trumped up by his agent. Like the guy was under contract for 5 more years, literally ANYTHING they could use to gain leverage against the team. I think they were trying to light a fire under Sabres management. Eichel finished the season out, which honestly didn't surprise anybody.

If you're a flames fan, you are about to be severely disappointed.

I stand corrected. Treliving did good. Im not a big Huberdeau fan but that's as good a return as they could've gotten.
