Habs are hurting for cap space and are not in the position of trade picks for more middle 6 players or wingers actually that are overpaid.
They would need to move out a bad contract in the trade.

The minute Byram is mentioned the talks are over, the minute both Byram and Newhook are mentioned the laughing starts.
