Habs are getting a heck of a lot more than that for half retained Edmundson with term.

I am holding out hope for Bedard or Fantili

I think the Habs will have to pay Caufield and Dubois a bit more than what you are paying them, especially Caufield.

Once again, please explain Chevy's motivation to take less than he gets for PLD as a rental in 2 years.

Why would Edmonton want Allen?

I wouldn’t pay Dubois more than 8. If he wants to play in Montreal so bad take less or go elsewhere

Not even remotely close to the worst propsal for him. It’s very realistic. Regardless I couldn’t care less if he ever puts on a Habs sweater. He wants to be here which is nice but he’s not needed. He’s a luxury piece

Because a team that wants to win a cup needs a backup goalie should the starter go down. Ask Pittsburgh

You should trade him elsewhere. This is the kind of deal I’d make. If it isn’t enough then fine keep him. He is not needed here, he’s a luxury

They have Stuart Skinner. They don't need Allen.

So if Campbell goes down before or during the playoffs you really think that he is winning you a Stanley Cup? If so I have ocean front property in Manitoba for sale

No thanks, Churchill is a little cold for my liking!

Campbell isn't injured. And I'd put more faith in Skinner than Allen anyhow, he always seems to raise his game at important moments.

I like the idea of getting more first rounders, I just don't know the price à 26th to 30th OA would be. Maybe Edmonston retained ain't enough.

It doesn't have to be to Carolina. Any serious playoff team would want to improve the D

Have you ever seen a trade deadline before? Do you know what teams who are trying to win a cup do at the deadline? Or are you still in rebuild mode because the winning is too new still?

Remind me: how many backups were moved at the deadline for a 2nd round pick?

MAF got a 2nd from MN without retention

Not a backup. And he's won Cups before. If he got a 2nd then Allen's only worth a 4th. And only one of 16 teams added a goalie. It's not a "thing" that contenders do.

And you're wrong about the retention. Chicago retained 50% on MAF.

Jake Allen isn’t a backup either so you’re simply wrong. He’s a 1B. He might as well be Jacques Plante compared to Skinner

Allen .905
Skinner .913
Campbell .914

LOL. Edmonton isn't interested in taking out your garbage. Goodbye.
