The Flames have some really good young players coming and I added to that with Bemstrom, Beauvillier, Perunovich, and 3 1st round picks likely over the next 2 seasons.

Vegas needs a more reliable solution in net and Lehner might not play most of the season according to some reports. Counting on the goalie carousel to stop spinning with the Sharks having too many guys so stealing Adin Hill from them. And didn't want to give up Dube, but I think I'm stealing Bemstrom and a possible bounce back from Nyquist who becomes deadline fodder.

Isles decline

They do? They get the first line scorer for Barzal that they have been trying to get for basically just Beauvillier and a 2nd and possibly a future first?

Are they not? I didn't realize that, when did they take that out.

Do you think the Blues do that trade with Neighbours in for Bolduc or Perunovich? I wanted to put Neighbours but thought I'd get smashed.

Pacioretty is better than Tarasenko and went for future considerations. Beauvillier just shot 7% after averaging 13% prior to last season - he’s a very good 2nd line forward and he’s young. Tarasenko is old and going to decline and the isles have to give up multiple high picks on top of that? Don’t see how this makes sense

I’d rather see a young player with high upside like Wahlstrom play with Barzal. They don’t need another lazy forward over 30

Pacioretty went for futures because Vegas dumped him. Nobody else will get dumped like that. Isles should've got in on that trade but they didn't. Tarasenko will not be traded for nothing.

Really? If Lehner could be out half the season and Broissoit could miss a decent chunk too. I think Vegas needs a more reliable goaltender and they definitely need to get under the cap. Maybe theres a different cap casualty that makes more sense.

Pacioretty fits the isles a lot better than Tarasenko so if this is the price for him, then the isles will simply not pay it. Not even close actually. They are not required to help the Blues.

Loose one round of playoffs to the better Alberta team and all hell breaks loose. Kinda sad I was hoping battle of Alberta would become a yearly thing to look forward to. Think a team with lucic wouldn't be soo fragile.

Vegas 100% declines. There is a chance Lehner misses the beginning of training camp but he'll be back for the season. Brossoit might be out for a little white but they have a good backup in Logan Thompson. Also, Stephenson is one of the best contacts on that team and they are not moving him. Martinez and, maybe, Karlsson are much more likely to be moved.

i'd like to give cassidy's "goalie friendly" system a chance for lehner to have a bounce back season, and i think thompson can develop and grow while holding the fort while he's gone. brossoit may have to be traded unless we put him in LTIR to begin the season
