Personally I wouldn't do it FROM CBJs perspective, as bjorky at 5.4 is a great deal and I don't believe the difference between the 2 is two firsts and a former highish end prospect who is still only 22. But it seems like this would have to be the package

Calgary would want Sillinger or Johnson but Columbus should’t do that

      That’s not close quite frankly

      Calgary and Columbus tbh.

Calgary would want one of Johnson, Sillinger, Jiricek as part of any trade.

Columbus shouldn’t be trading Bjorkstrand and shouldn’t be moving any of the 3 mentioned above.

Jackets should steer clear. We have good pieces in place. No need to tie up 40 million with 4 players.

Would be one of the most interesting Top 6’s in the league. But Columbus should really prioritize finding a 20 min a night top line Centre. Which is all the more reason I was surprised at them signing Gaudreau.

I love Mateychuk and Bjorkstrand can be flipped for a very good return

This sounds oddly familiar, almost like I’ve seen it before, but I can’t quite place where.

Wanting and getting is very different. Chicago wanted 2oa + holtz ++ for debrincat and look where they ended up. I think people will be very surprised (as always) by how little the return for Tkachuk is going to be. This package is very close to what I think he will get, and if anything is probably a bit too much from CBJ

Just an opinion but I think colombus has enough on the wings, I think it’s a find the right Center, he maybe all ready in house, but the third line of youth, might be better served possibly moved up on the wings and Jenner knocked down a little and the right Center to go 1a and 1b with sillinger. Calgary might be the right target, but possibly the wrong player, depending on what Calgary does going forward, there could be veteran Center there worth kicking the tires on. Buy low on monahan or buy super high on lindholm

I would be so sad if we constructed our team like Toronto lol

lol, I was going to say something very similar. High end forwards, questionable goaltending, and dmen that for the most part can't play D pretty much checks every box.

And now we just traded our best defensive forward…

I just caught that, and for a very underwhelming return. I'm a lifelong Leafs fan who has lived in Columbus the past 25 years so I cheer for the CBJ 79 games a year. I generally have liked what Jarmo has done but JFC. This team could very well compete for one of the worst goals allowed of all time.
