I don't think Buffalo would do that deal Chicago might do the deal for that price.

I would hope Columbus doesn't have to attach THAT much to get rid of Gus. He's a really valuable player, and there are teams hoping to contend that would look a lot better with him in the lineup.

Chicago is actively tanking while Buffalo is trying to add pieces for as cheap as possible.

So few teams have cap space they’ll probably have to because they have no other real options

Oh, they'll have to attach some compensation. But I don't think it'll be two 2nd-rounders. Rather, I'm expecting a 3rd or 4th, as well as one or more of Bemstrom/Foudy/TFW/Bean.

That’s an insane overpay to dump nyquist. As for cap space, we only need to clear around 2.5-3 million. So Jake bean is much more likely.

I think they absolutely would. Getting assets for a pretty decent player that they can then retain and flip at the TDL for more assets is a win/win scenario. If both JJ and Quinn earn roster spots you can simply put Hino in the press box if need be, but otherwise I'm sure at some point someone's going to get injured.

Why would Buffalo do that. ThEy GeT 2 2nDs. Pegula is trying to budget as well as put out a winning team, thats why Matt Murray was the only cap dump they looked in to. Sabres arent taking other teams cap dumps and they arent bringing in has-beens that block their prospects

It's not so much that I think you are wrong, as it is that the Sabres are at the floor and they haven't shown much interest in taking on additional salary. Probably end up yielding 3 second round picks, especially if they retain at the deadline. Be interesting if that was really on the table, I suspect it's first round pick or we stay at the floor.
