Description

I can’t see any of the teams on Tkachuk’s list trying to trade for him because he will be too expensive and none of them have nearly enough cap space for him. The Devils were mentioned to have interest in him and actually might be able to make it work. For the return, he is not getting even close to what most people think he will! Just look at the returns players like Fiala, DeBrincat and Eichel got. He’s not getting more than that. A young roster player, a decent prospect and a first round pick is the most I can see him getting.

This isn't even close to the realistic value. Eichel got more than this and he had a potentially career ending surgery to still deal with AFTER the trade went through. ANNND he actually asked for a trade, Tkachuk has never asked to be traded. He's a 100 point 24 yr old player who's best attribute doesn't even have to do with putting the puck in the net. you create cap space for him , just like clb did to land JG and laine. Multiple teams will be in on him and tre won't let him go for pennies on the dollar. If any media rumours are actually true, he already turned down a trade that included the 2nd overall pick. This isn't really even close.

And if the other rumors are true, the ask is a top 6 winger, good prospect, and a top 20 pick. Might need to upgrade the prospect a little but this is essentially the asking price.
