Yup, hoist on my own petard. This is ROUGH for the Jackets. Hate this deal. Hard to imagine they couldn't have moved Nyquist or Bean to get compliant, even with sweeteners.

Pretty simple if you look at the last couple trades like this. Johnson and a 2nd from Tampa for basically nothing. Patches and Coghlan to CAR from Vegas for nothing. It's very difficult to get anything for these guys

As a CHI fan, I gotta say, there is a part of me that likes to see CBJ getting fleeced in this trade. But I'm sure yall will be more than ok next season. I like to think we could've worked something out around Murphy and Bjorkstrand, though. Definitely would require CHI taking back more cap, but I think it could've been done.
