Hopefully change of scenery for this guy does him well. He looked to be quite the gem only about 3 years ago

If he figures it out Dallas has a pretty nice cheap defenceman that they can move for a good return at the deadline or try to win with him, if not he at least is a decent depth option.

I don't think this guy is cut out for the NHL anymore. Way too slow. Dallas fans should hope he doesn't play too many games.

I don’t see the point of this, he’s not going to play at all. Heiskanen, Lindell, Harley, Suter, Hakanpaa and Miller all make the lineup over him 100%.

Also why is Nill focusing on a 7th D over his franchise forward and goalie? He’s so confusing at times.

Real flash in the pan. Don't see where he lines up with them either unless he's going to Austin.

Butcher is terrible defensively and his 5on5 play is atrocious. He had a nice rookie season with the Devils b/c he was handed the 1PP role from day 1. He was fully insulated defensively. I wish him well, but he’s not an NHL D.

Haha. Mostly delusional Devils fans after his 40+ point rookie season. Those of us who watched every game knew he was a major liability and a mediocre PP specialist. He has no upside in Dallas.
