Exactly. Leaf fans don't get how stupid their offers are for Miller . This is exactly what it looks like to us Canuck fans . Hahaha good one.

Not really, Miller has one year on his contract and Nylander has two is younger and probably going to have the better career based on trajectory.

So, just based on Miller being retained at 50% (which vancouver wouldn't do even for a similar package) is much more likely than Nylander getting retained at 50% for 2 years. Nylander also has the higher trade value.

Considering how bad the trade markets gotten Millers value has been tanking by the day and it sucks for teams needing to make moves

As we literally just saw Bjorkstrand get traded for a 3rd and 4th and Pacioretty get traded for nothing heck Vegas threw in a nice young RD

Canucks blew their chance to get over max value

Now do I agree with silly ACGM's no but man I feel GMJR waited to long and wouldn't be surprised if the Canucks do decide to move Miller its gonna be for less then expected as teams see these big guys go for pennies and are like k why should I give up an A level prospect and high picks for a player like Miller

I will let you in on a secret Canucks don't give a rats ass about Leafs cap issues and have not interest in their crap dumps like Muzzin Holl and Kerfoot.

Here is a very silly suggestion , we just may extend our best player. Just saying .

The problem is hes gonna be 30 and the drop is coming. Like this might have been a once in a career moment for him and he may never repeat it. Also Horvat needs an extension to and thats not gonna come cheap. At this point its probs choose one or the other unless they can somehow move OEL or JR is willing to pay to move Myers.

Leafs fans counter with Kerfoot, Holl, a first and a third for Miller 50% retained.

Oh wait, they do that everyday already

Never said Canucks care about the Leafs cap situation, nor that they would want those guys or not. What I do know though is that a fanbases' interest or disinterest in a player is not what determines a GM's interest unless it's about selling tickets or merchandise.

If the risk makes sense, then it isn't a problem. They aren't going to sign him 10mx8 years, but doesn't mean they won't sign him 8mx6 if he was willing to take that.

Horvat needs an extension and there is no reason why Canucks can't sign both . The cap will be going up substantially next year and Canucks should extend two of their best players. I don't buy this crap about he turns 30 .

Canucks do not have an attendance issue and the merch is moving just fine. Every game I attended this year the fans had fun and the mood inside the arena was nothing like the internet and the ACGMs .

That's true, so my point is whether Canuck fans or Leaf fans hate or like Kerfoot, doesn't affect whether Allvin is interested in acquiring him or Dubas trading/keeping him.

He's not a superstar and he's not a pariah in the League, so acquiring or trading him isn't going to affect the teams' attendance or sales. So, none of our opinions on the player matter unless you guys are a member of the Canucks or Leafs' management, coaching, or scouting.

Based off Tampa's extensions you would think 10m or perhaps they are planning to walk away from Stamkos despite his NMC. I did read that Bettman said he expects a 1m rise only for next two years still. He said it will be a flat cap until the 2024-25 season but we will see.

It could jump up 10 mil next year . I didn't want to get ahead of myself by saying I believe at least 5 mil , so I gave a conservative prediction. The deal for players escrow comes to an end this year ( I believe) and they have had a miniscule cap raise of 1 mil over four years. Time to raise the cap. I have heard a few insiders say it is going to be a sufficient raise. Even if it is not Canucks have enough cap space to give Horvat and Miller their raise and re-sign Kuzmenko.

Yeah, it's interesting. Bettman did say recently that he expects it to go up 1m each year and stay flat until 2024-25 season, but I think he's just keeping the expectation bar low.

BriseBois seems to know something though since he has like 78m in 13 players for next season lol, maybe Bettman just said that so the Canucks trade Miller on the low (I'm joking of course).
