Depth player with a 100% buriable contract. Call it a win, even thought they probably overpaid by $100,000 - $200,000.

I would've stuck with $900k to $1M a year, but this cap hit was right where I was expecting the Sharks to pay for Lorentz. Sounds like he makes an effort game to game so I'm glad about that at least, but that means we're outta cap space now. We're gonna be busy with outgoing trades lest we lose Ferraro to an offer sheet.

His media call post-trade was good, he was super enthusiastic and doesn’t have all your usual run of the mill hockey one-liners. Seems like a good complimentary player on the fourth line and fits Griers new philosophy for the sharks, competitive, tenacious and hard to play against….

I like Lorentz. He’s a solid depth player that can get you at least 20 points.
