Lucic waives NMC to play out his final year in Seattle as they also receive a 3rd in 24’ for future considerations.

Boston trades Pastrnak and a 4th to Calgary for Hanifin, Dube, Coronato and a 2nd in 24’. This may look like either too much or too little for an Elite sniper in Pastrnak, but he will be an UFA after the season and may not return to the B’s after recent speculation. The B’s receive a bonafide top 4 D (Hanifin) and a young top 9 fwd with potential in Dube. I am worried Coronato may not be willing to sign with Calgary, so Boston receives the rights to a legitimate grade A prospect along with a 2nd in 24’ (fair deal IMHO).

Arizona receives Juuso Valimaki and Sean Monahan for Barrett Hayton and a 4th in 23’. This may also look like a controversial trade, but I see it as a swap for two prospects needing a change of scenery, Arizona gets Valimaki who has a high ceiling with the potential to become a top 4. Calgary gets Hayton, another player with potential that hasn’t quite flourished in Arizona. Monahan is added to help AZ reach the cap floor which in turn the Flames receive a 4th in 23’.
