Besides the fact that you’re still over the cap, Arizona laughs at this offer

Cap dump, no 1st, retention.

Is Florida better or worse, on paper, after this trade?

Hornqvist isn’t waiving his NTC for Arizona.

I meann, you get a two top prospects in Denisenko and Heponiemi, on top of that a top 6 forward. I don't see how Arizona say no to that, I meann at least consider it

It's a cap dump, two B prospects (due to age) a 2nd a 4th and a7th.

Your are no where near chychrun. Arizona absolutely does not consider this.

That return doesn’t cover Chychrun or the retention let alone both

Terrible for Arizona.

Zito: "Hey Bill would you mind retaining about half on one of your few good players and tradeable assets who's already on an affordable contract with 3 years of term for some cap dumps, struggling prospects and later picks? I'd send you a 1st but I've blown all those so I'll send you a 2nd cause thats all I have left that's of much value, this draft is deep though so thats good for ya, watcha say bud, deal?"

Armstrong: 🤣

I guess we have a different meaning of "top". Hornqvist will be 36 next year and at this point, he's middle-6 F if not 3rd liner. Heponiemi is 23 and is a projected 3rd liner. Denisenko hasn't played much in the AHL nor has dominated. He's good piece in the trade but this is not enough especially if ARI retain $2M (which they likely won't).

Because AZ 1) isn’t retaining and 2) wants 1st rd pick as much as anything preferably an unprotected 1st rd pick 3) they aren’t taking cap dumps back. AZ has held steadfast in the asking price of a 1st a top prospect and an NHL ready player and they aren’t retaining.
