Well now you know how it feels to have a whole season of sending us Reilly when we had five LHDs on the roster. Deal with it. Not to mention you guys keep sending us Holl when WE have NINE dmen.

Rielly hasnt been in trade talk ACGM's since he signed that team friendly deal at the beginning of last season so a whole season is silly talk as it was barely 2 weeks in lul

The main reason Rielly was linked to Pittsburgh was Burke and if Rielly hit open market Burke would have brought him in

As theres a reason for the NMC

Yeah, and for a whole season until that happened you guys relentlessly traded him to us when we clearly had too many dmen.

You do realize he signed at the beginning of the season so ACGM's for the after the draft and september preseason were having him in Pittsburgh lul

So a whole season is setting the bar to high when it was actually for 2 months

How are you actually not understanding I'm talking about the time leading up to him signing?

1) There was a time before he signed his extension
2) Hockey didn't start at that moment
3) So BEFORE then, leafs fans didn't stop trading him to us.

How is it that hard to comprehend?

Sandin need to be paid and it probably won’t be by Toronto and Ruhwedel would be a good top 6 guy for them to replace Sandin and if they trade Holl, also replace him as well with a good defencemen.

Well that hasn't even stopped yet. Reilly was arguably worse though. They were trading him to us for multiple firsts and prospects with no place for him in the lineup.

If they were going to move Zucker they should have done it earlier when there were good players to sign with his money. Paying a 2nd round pick to dump him with 1 year left to overpay a worse player in Milano seems like a waste to me

There’s a lot to like about Milano’s game. Don’t know where you get the idea he’s a worse player. He’s younger and I think he can really fit with Pittsburgh. But now that I think of it he probably doesn’t get paid that much. But he would be more available to play a fuller season than Zucker.

I'm not saying Milano is bad at all - I would be for signing him if we could squeeze it under the cap. I'm just saying that I think he's not as good as Zucker - assuming he's healthy. I see keeping Zucker for one year @5.5 as a better use of money than getting a penalty for 2 years and signing Milano - which would cost what, 5.5mil the first year and then 4.5mil the next?

Zucker's health is obviously a concern, but he has played more games than Milano over the least 3 years.

I don’t think he actually had a permanent role cause he wasn’t very much liked in Columbus. Or he had injuries but I don’t think that was really it. But I think he could not only provide more games currently but also more production. Even if it’s for 60-65 games. We still got some younger guys that could fill in as the depth from the AHL.

But there had to have been a reason to not be liked right? I'm not familiar enough to know why he is missing so many games - he only played 6 in 20202. It's not the depth I'm worried about - I'm just saying it's basically a 1 for 1 Zucker for Milano - I'd say that's a downgrade. His numbers were obviously boosted last year by playing with Terry, Zegras and Rakell - he wouldn't have that caliber of teammate over here playing on the 3rd line. Just my two cents

Yes his numbers may have been boosted but I don’t think that he wouldn’t be a bad add on for any team. But here’s one thing to remember about Columbus. Torts was their coach. That makes it a lot harder on a player. The thing that I liked about Milano’s numbers is he can carry the puck and open up scoring opportunities. Jeff Carter’s numbers with carrying the puck not all that great but that’s what Milano can do and it could bring a lot of goals for Carter.

Yeah he's definitely not a Torts player. Like I said I'm not saying it's a bad add. If they could fit him under the cap I wouldn't complain about the signing. But the buying out of Zucker is the part where i have the issue. I think you're much better spending that 5.5 this year on Zucker and then being free to spend the full 5.5 on anybody next year - as opposed to spending that 5.5 on Milano this year and then having like 2mil still stuck in buyouts next year and not having any cap space.
