Zero chance of this trade. Calgary has no need to retain anything here and any other team could offer up a better prospect and picks package for Lindholm. If they are tearing it down by TD day, there are plenty of suitors for Lindholm

You don’t think Lindholm is worth a late second round pick alone?

A 40+ goal, point per game, Selke calibre 1C for multiple years at under 2.5mil? You’re right, he’s worth more

What would you expect in return for Cirelli if he had 2 years left on a deal with a 2.5m cap hit? Out of pure curiosity.

Considering Cirelli is 3 years younger averages the same career ppg while never playing on the first line where as lindholm has played first line all but 1 year since being a rookie, and Cirelli has been better defensively than lindholm every year of his career. Cirellis return should be at least double whatever lindholms

So like, two thirds? Just basing that off lindholm not being worth a second so maybe he’s worth a third to you?

Lindholm has half the value at best of Cirelli, Cirelli at minimum fetch’s a mid to late first

He’s averaged 33 goals and 74 points per 82 games over the last 4 seasons combined, improving year over year, on top of his elite defensive play, but that information is only publicly available and easily accessible on the internet so it’s understandable how you might have missed it.

Watch as lindholm regresses to a 30 point player this year without gaudreau or tkachuk to carry his totals, lindholm wasn’t even the best defensive player on his line
