The cap doesn’t exactly work here, even with sandin being grossly underpaid.

Patrick might not even play this year. Dude has had concusion problems and they are no joke. doubt he would ever be a steal if a team picks him up as he has the injury bug big time.

I think this is Patrick's make or break season in the NHL........but worth taking a chance on a 2nd overall draft pick.

I think Coyotes might be more interested in trading for Kerfoot and then trading him off at deadline for a higher draft pick like a 2nd round pick.

They still need to put a team on the ice with enough salaries to reach the bottom of the Cap.
