I know you'll sum this up to Islander hate because I'm a Pens fan and I'm aware there are major rumors on getting Kadri, but do you guys really think Kadri moves the needle for you? I feel like the issues on this to far beyond being helped by adding someone like Kadri.

I hope Barzal is getting traded if this happens and hopefully Sorokin will realize what’s going on and not re-sign with the isles

For one season yeah he moves it and passed that the contract will be a liability probably.. I don’t think it’s a good fit for this team I’m just doing this cause of the rumors and seeing how it can work (partially so I can talk myself into it)

The only person this rumor is coming from is Kevin Kurz. Who seems more and more unreliable by the day.

No ur fine. Our beat writer at the athletic sucks and seems like he is pushing this story with no real information.

I know you guys have a decent amount of cap space, but I'd wait all this out. Tank for this coming draft then look to get rid of Bailey and Palmieri somehow after this year.

I’m not even worried about Palmieri cause his analytics were good all of last year. He had terrible luck and even when he was strong at the end of the year he had like 6 goals overturned.

With Bailey IK what I’m getting tbh. I think Covid negatively impacted his game last year and having a better blue line will help not only him but the entire forward core. They have a lot of mediocre contracts but not any terrible ones tbh.

I get that, but I'm thinking more from a youth perspective with Palmieri. Palmieri has become your Zucker, except he's older and you have him for two more years beyond this this one. Zucker is still a heck of a hockey player and his analytics are prove that, but he's been super unlucky with shooting. I think getting him off the roster leaves room for spending or acquiring younger players.

I agree but if Palmieri is healthy he will be good

Yeah, but also just luck. Sometimes players have unfortunate years. He played so well and got plenty of chances, but just couldn't bury them. It's frustrating because he brings such speed and grit.
