Not an interesting enough package for me to think of moving Meier, especially with San Jose giving up picks too. I’d want a 1st and a top prospect, Lucius is okay, wasn’t great last year at Minnesota.

Timo will be 8-9mil looking for long term, so not sure how WPG would fit him. SJ should definitely take this generous offer, namely for Lucius & the 1st, and kick off a real rebuild.
But more likely Jets wouldn't offer this much and SJ will try signing Meier on for the long term

I'm a big Meier fan but the Jets probably shouldn't part with that 1st, good chance it'll be a top 10 pick.

Generous? Lol it's pathetic. Sharks don't consider it for even a second.

Stanley we could do without since he'd probably be either a scratch or a bottom pairing D. That said, Grier does like his grit players (as seen with NYR's acquisition of Reaves and Goodrow's Tanev contract), so the package you shared is one that would be realistically be tempting for Mike. In a perfect world, we'd do Perfetti, a defenseman prospect, 2023 1st and 2025 4th for Meier plus 2023 CBJ 5th, but I wouldn't object to Lucius so this isn't the worst package I've seen.

think it's pretty fair considering likelihood that 1st is going to be a low pick in a good draft year, and lucius and stanley in the package are also good if SJ wants to rebuild. It won't happen but value seems reasonable. Meier's value probably goes up with consistent performance leading up to TDL. Meier is better than Fiala due to the physical play he brings but it's a decent comparable

If the Sharks want Perfetti I’m guessing Chevy probably wouldn’t consider going after Meier if he’s available. What you’re saying is a fair asking price but probably something that the Jets wouldn’t do.
