We might take Gardiner if you’re giving us a 2nd,
but i highly doubt we’d give up Fitz

I don’t think u can expect to get any value back from this Cap Dump

Canes pass on the Seattle deal. Adding that much Gourde cap for 3 years isnt beneficial for the Canes, Dunn and Gourde are good but not worth Skjei and Bear. The cap savings between Skjei and Dunn's contract next year isnt worth the drop in on ice performance. Overall the deal is a lot of shuffling deck chairs instead of making us better

What’s the point of that Seattle deal? Bear for Soucy, sure id do that. But Necas is younger and has more potential than Gourde and Skjei is better than Dunn.

No, not giving up a good asset for a crappy cap dump and a 2nd

Not really sure what we’d even do with Gardiner; he’d want to play and not one fan would want him to seeing as he’s Charmin soft

I wouldn’t use the term “replaceable”
Point is, Gardiner is a straight up Cap dump
CAR would pay us to take him, & i don’t see us giving them ANYTHING of value back- not even a 7th round pick

So yeah, we’ll keep our young RH defenseman who looked pretty decent for us last season
He was also our most physical defenseman, which is something we lacked

Also, a 2nd *might* be enough to get us to take Gardiner
But it also might not be
So again, we aren’t sending CAR any kind of value whatsoever back for Gardiner

What purpose does Gardiner serve on the Sabres roster and remaining in that light, why would Buffalo give up an asset for a cap-dump?

Asking for a lot of friends in Western New York.

I thought the 2nd was coming our way, not vice-versa, apologies.
