A 2nd rn is a little steep but the canes might check in around the TDL depending on how he does.

Bjorkstrand went for a 3rd +4th, pacioretty went for FC. No chance isles give up a 2nd for a player who’s much worse

Canes can’t fit Dado on even if retained. Will likely be right up against it.

Bjorkstrand is making 5.4 for the next 4 years... and Pacioretty 7m this season compared to the 2.75m Drouin would be making here. Don't be so dense

They’re also top line players. Drouin is a bottom 6 winger

Hence why a 2nd rounder for a guy making 2.75m and scores at a .5ppg pace is fair value

Not likely. Gostisbehere went to Arizona last year and needed a 2nd & 7th attached for them to take him. That's Hoffmans starting point

He’s not though. Drouin would be in the Isles top six. The problem with Drouin is his injury proneness. It’s not him as a player. He’s similar to a Paul Stasny type of player but worse luck with injuries

Unless we see a major turnaround in the first half this year that’s a no

I know. That is so funny man. A two-way contract at league minimum. Has it been that long?

Brock Nelson had 37 goals last year, and no one is giving the Habs anything of value for Drouin.

No it’s really not. He also has off ice issues so there’s no guarantee he’ll even play half the season.
