It is a buyer’s market and if the Canucks can sign Klingberg to a good cap hit it’s worth it

Leaf fans would love to have Miller over Nylander and an extra $3,500,000 in cap space

They are getting the player with much more upside in Willy he’s 26, Miller is 30 & is due regression plus is a rental, Willy with 2 years of term & 4 years younger is worth more than Miller

Nylander doesn't have more upside than Miller, he's in his prime and is what he is. Miller still has at least 3 PPG seasons left in him. I'm not saying 99 points, I'm saying PPG

Dumping Dickinson and Poolman doesn't cost Pearson and Hoglander as sweeteners either

Miller has probably a couple of Good seasons left in him but it the Leafs only get him for probably one, I rather Keep Willy than get Miller cause you Don’t contend by subtracting from your core you succeed by adding. The Leafs Don’t need Miller but if the acquired him you need him with Willy not one for the other. Also JT Miller has one PPG season & it’s his last one his 2nd best was 72 in 69, Willy just had a PPG Season & is 26 Age is a big factor here stop acting like it isn’t, Miller has maybe 3-4 good seasons left Willy had at least 6-8 Good Seasons Left,JT Miller is not worth Willy cause Willy has the much better upside in age & term + projected longevity. Miller is 30
& in his prime, Willy has just started his prime

Willy may have more prime years left, but I don't see his ceiling ever reaching what Miller accomplished this past season. Plus Miller is a more complete player than Nylander, even if he's a few years older

Willy already has a 80 point season under his belt playing 2nd line minutes what makes you think 100 points is too out of reach?.Miller is a more complete player but when a guy reaches 30 it’s a timer on until he regresses, by the time Miller Regresses Willy will be a better played I guarantee that so why trade one for the other. Trade Miller to Someone else besides the Leafs Please & Thank you even though you wasted your chance at the TD & his value is diminished a bit. You won’t get a Tkachuk deal for him. & also if I use that as a basis which Is fair as Huburdeau & Miller are similar ages but one is the superior player, You would need to add to get Willy as he would have similar Value to Tkachuk based on age, not the same as Tkachuk had 100+ points but didn’t have any term which makes it closer in terms of value. Though you’ll disregard that with an excuse

I didn't make this proposal, and I'm calling it now, Willy is NEVER hitting 100 points, let alone will he ever score at a 100 point pace

Pearson is not a sweetener, he is a cap dump and the sweetener is Hoglander

Miller plays center, Miller is a stud in the draw. Miller is an impact player on a bad team. Miller this season can be had for as low as 2.65m. Miller isn't a rental, if he feels he can win in the team he's on he'll resign. Granted the Leafs can hardly afford it. Since they spent almost all their money on 4 players.

But Miller is the much better player for an all over the ice kinda deal, even if he's a few years older.

You act like he wasn’t 20 points away playing 2nd & 3rd line minutes, The better bet is Willy, more term, younger & not a hassle to resign right after the season ends

He has stated before he wants to get paid like a Top Center & Leafs don’t have that kind of Money + He is not a significant upgrade to the 2nd Line cause removing Willy ****s over the whole dynamic & what i mean by that is not Miller isn’t better cause he is but the Leafs have no one to play the RW if Willy is traded thats the big problem.would i love JT Miller Yes, Do i think he is a more complete player than Willy also Yes but Age & Term is a massive factor Milled is due regression sooner rather than Later plus trading Talented Swedes for aging Talent has never worked in the leafs favour
