I think you are overpaying, and I am one of the minority that thinks we really need a 1c

Maybe but this gives the sabres a great center spine and deep line up for the future while still retaining a lot of your prospects. Sure Peterka is good, but I am willing to move on for barzal

Barzal is not getting moved and that is not a good offer for him. There is nothing intriguing to the Isles there.

Well a top 10 prospect in the nhl surely is intriguing for a team with a horrendous pool

I know you’re not calling Peterka a top 10 prospect… there is nothing intriguing about trading one of the more dynamic centers in the game for mediocre assets

Yeah a guy that was a point a game in the ahl and then lead his team and the entire ahl in playoff points while his team was in it is mediocre. Outproduced rossi, holtz, robertson etc but yea he sucks and has no value

Never said he doesn’t have value but the odds he becomes a 1st liner are not high. He likely tops out as a very good middle 6 wing. He’s a good prospect, not top 10. And the isles aren’t trading the face of their franchise f for him

I mean I would love to know the amount of time youve watched him play... That being said, the trade isnt one for one so I never indicated he has the same value as barzal, so get real

I don’t have to watch him play, his numbers and play style since his draft year are indicative of a middle 6 trajectory

The isles aren’t trading Barzal, but one of Krebs,Savoie would need to be included in the trade

Alright well from someone who has watched both play I believe peterka will be better than krebs, so that change can be made lol

Include Krebs over Peterka, everyday of the week.
That is a HUGE over pay.
Barzal is certainly dynamic, but 22 goals is his best season and since reaching 85 pts in his first full year he has yet to exceed 62 in any of the next four.
I would not give up more than we got for Eichel who has a much better resume.
BTW Tage Thompson had more pts last year than any year the Barzal had other than his first year and had only 3 fewer goals than Barzal's best two years combined.
While Buffalo does not have any elite players, they currently are projected to have great depth which could make up for lack of an elite player.
This gives up depth for a player only moderately better than Thompson.

You can have Krebs over Peterka no problem.
Lamoriello would fall out of his chair if this was offered to him.
Olofsson is avg. 24 goals/82 games over his career, Barzal only 21.
Last year after Olofsson's wrist healed, over his final 34 games he had 15 goals, or 36 goals over an 82 game season plus 13 assists for 28 pts or 68 pts over 82 games.
This is not to say Olofsson is better than Barzal only he is a top 6 LW.
Peterka is projected to be a top 6 winger.
Johnson is projected to be a top 4 D-man.
Then a first and a second.
Thank God Karmanos would never make this trade, this would be the second coming of Tim Murray trading away picks and prospects only to prolong the rebuild.

Barzals analytics have been that of a 1C in 4 of his 5 seasons. The isles have no plans to trade Barzal and Lamoriello doesn’t have the authority to trade him. I don’t understand why someone made an ACGM for a player who’s not available

Buffalo didn’t let Eichel get the procedure he wanted plus he had never made it to the playoffs. Barzal isn’t available and said he wants to stay long term, sure he could change his mind but at this point in time he’s not available and there’s no indication that he wants out

Barzal isnt a top 50 player in the nhl man, this is the most you will get. I wish you luck tho, I am sure lou will find a way to make your team older and worse

he definitely is a top 50 player in the NHL and a dynamic 1C in his prime, unless you just like to ignore the numbers. I don't know why you feel entitled to trade player not on your team, it's not a normal way to act man.

Can't believe Lou just traded for Romanov, he made the team older and worse.

Well seeing as this is literally a website that enables you to create fantasy scenarios it isnt really entitlement hahaha. and what did he give up for romanov? oh right the 13th overall pick which the player who would be selected is in fact younger lol

It is entitlement when you act like it’s a fact that Barzal is 100% getting traded and basically offer up players that are expendable to the Sabres

Difference from sarcasm and defensiveness. Not really going to concern myself with a persons opinion of a prospect or deal when said person has never watched a minute of them play, have a good day my friend
