Would rather keep Horvat. I do like Necas for Miller though

Canes still dont move Necas for a rental. Necas would have to come out and say he isnt coming back to Carolina after his deal is done for a move to happen.

With what cap? Pens only have zucker blueger dumolin and jarry coming off the books this coming season. That’s 14m in cap space and let’s assume that the cap goes up 2m so there is 16. Now if the pens want to resign jarry it’s gonna be 5-6m. Now you also have to resign your shiny new Ty smith which should cost 3-4m based on projections from his down year this past season. Just resigning those two alone leaves the pens with 4-6m in cap and roster spots to fill out. Pittsburgh simply cannot resign their starting goalie and get miller. Unless the pens make serious cap moves like getting rid of 2-3 3m+ players, it would be a cold day in hell where miller goes to Pittsburgh.

2 points:

1. We could re sign miller.I have done enough penguins ACGMs to know we definitely could.

2. Even if we couldn’t sign him. Then why would we trade for him in this ACGM? We are giving up Kapanen + smith + 1st for a rental?

Canes pass. Necas isn't being traded for a rental. I'm also not sure I'd give up Necas' talent and upside for Horvat straight up. We have Horvat with less scoring in Jordan Staal

So maybe you could resign him? Smith and Kapanen are like 7m in cap next season. Much easier to resign him then. Miller isn’t going to Pittsburgh as a destination of choice unless he is traded for and likes the culture. I wouldn’t be shocked if they missed the playoffs this season so that would ensure that miller wouldn’t sign in Pittsburgh. The dark days for the pens are coming wether you like it or not. Miller just kicks that can further down the road which is what management is clearly doing.

So was trocheck so what’s yours point. Guadreau was basically from philly and lived in jersey. Signed in neither. There isn’t much incentive for anybody to go to Pittsburgh now. Anyways now that your point has be refuted, pissburgh would not have the cap to sign miller unless they trade assets for him.

If Pit offers him a fair deal, Miller would sign here easy. Pittsburgh didn't offer Trochek a contract. He was plan B if Malkin didn't stay.

Pit only makes that deal if they're in first or second in the conference and had either Sid or Geno injured.

Horvat is not going anywhere. VAN would only consider moving him if he asked for a trade out.
