Canucks don’t need Tarasenko. They already have 7 top 9 quality wingers (8 if you include Miller as a W instead of a C)

Canucks would only move Miller for futures or defencemen, not other aging forwards (we’re stacked up front)

Nope, Miller is younger, has been better over the last three seasons, and is a center. Canucks would just re-sign Miller if they were gonna give an aging forward a massive contract.

I like this trade because the Canucks r moving a younger player who plays a premium position for an older player who plays the least valuable position in hockey. Seems like a great plan! 🤦‍♂️😂🤦‍♂️

Hold up. Wait a minute. Not suggesting VAN should want this swap, but who are these 7 wingers you're referring to?

Boeser, Garland, Podkolzin, Hoglander, Kuzmenko, Mikheyev, Pearson. Tarasenko would be our best winger, we just don't have a need for him

Boeser, Garland, Kuzmenko, Podkolzin, Mikheyev, Hoglander, Pearson. I would say they are all top 9 quality at least (Boeser and Garland for sure top 6, Podkolzin/Hoglander/Kuzmenko have potential to be as well)

Exactly. Half the list is not there quite yet.

I was saying Podkolzin/Hoglander/Kuzmenko all have potential to be top 6. I suppose Kuzmenko isn’t a definite top 9 yet since he hasn’t played in the NHL, but I’d say it’s pretty likely. Podkolzin and Hoglander have already had success when they’ve played top 9 roles so far (even though Hoglander struggled last year), so I would consider them top 9 wingers already

They're not far off, which would make a Taresenko extension somewhat redundant
