Jackets decline. Peeke played first pair with Werenski. He’s the 2nd best defensive d man on the team. He improved a ton at a position that is the weakest for the jackets. Can’t see the jackets moving on from peeke until corson or jiricek are ready for the NHL full time

no it does not, because the leafs are moving sandin to fill a need, not add another defender they dont need. THey literally have too many defencemen right now

For all the reasons outlined above, CBJ need to keep Peeke, at least for now. Once Ceulemans/Jiricek are ready, maybe that changes, as @SK101 noted. Trading Bean for Sandin probably works for Columbus, but not Peeke.

Wait am I missing something? Why are we keeping Peeke over Sandin? Sandin kills him in almost every metric...

Personally I'd take this and run (depending on Sandin's willingness to sign a cheap bridge). I think some fans put too much stock in handedness.

I don’t think Sandin will sign that cheap, and Columbus won’t be able to fit him under the cap unless they move money out. He’s not my first choice, but he would be an upgrade at RD over Peeke IMO.
