I don’t remember the rules but I think Ottawa getting White back (especially since he’s much cheaper after they bought him out) isn’t allowed. I though it was no re-acquiring for at least a year when you buy out a player.

Well everyone else already addressed the absurdity. I didn’t need to add anything there, the first 3 posts summed it up, I just added the “against the rules” take because them buying out White and taking him back immediately is ridiculous to me.

I wasn't critiquing you, I was noting how that impossibility you mentioned isn't even the first thing people would think of (and it definitely is an impossibility) to illustrate how absurd this trade idea really is.

I didn’t think you were, I might be just numb to nonsense in values we all think each individual is worth over another and whatnot, that is something I have come to expect. After that looking at things that the team just wouldn’t do (regardless if the trade values were more realistic and regardless of the buyout rules).
