Whats the rationale behind Muzzin on LTIR?
Is it just convenience to sign those other oldies?
The Leafs dont have a full compliment of picks over the next 3 yrs, lacked good picks the last few, Amirov got brain cancer, the prospect pool is very weak
AND the Leafs are already the 6th oldest team in the league, and you want to LTIR Muzzin just to sign Kessel and Subban? Older isn;t better. And this "team" isnt a team, its a collection of older former all-stars. The defense: the second pairing were 7th and 8th in icetime among Leaf dmen last yr and neither take the body - thats a big leap to 2nd pair, the 3rd pair is ancient, while that bottom 6 is better, thats a pretty one-dimensional top 6, especially that 2nd line, and the goaltending isnt fooling anyone. Looks to me like more of the same, the top 6 play 20+ minutes and the bottom 6 play 12 or less, and theres a ton of 5-4, 5-3, 4-5 games until the playoffs)
And thats the solution to make the second round?
