Description

I don't really get the doom and gloom around this team. The d-core is incredible. The top 6 is still solid, although Patches will be missed. That being said, they replaced an elite 33 year old winger, on an expiring contract, with an elite 25 year old center with term.

The biggest question mark is that 3rd line because it's a rookie and a KHL player. The thing is that, as long as one of them plays as a decent 3rd liner, they can trade for a top 6 player at the deadline, pushing Roy back down to the 3rd line.

For the people wondering about the LTIR, Patrick (poor kid) looks like he won't ever play again and Brossoit will be out for at least half of the season.

Health permitting, this team should still be a contender, especially with the new system.
