Ottawa wouldn't trade Zub for Chychrun, they want to reinforce the defence, not make a lateral move in way (yes ik Chychrun is better, but Zub is valuable on defence for the sens)

If all Girard would cost is a 3rd why would Ottawa give up significant assets to get Chychrun when they could just get Girard?
