I can’t see why San Jose would entertain that offer. Some quality in the trade would help instead of nothing basically coming back.

You’re losing him as a UFA. You get our best goaltending prospect as part of that deal.

Sharks will probably get a better offer for him at the deadline

So? Sharks already have like 10 goalies in their system, he isn’t needed. They can simply trade Reimer elsewhere before the deadline; there are 30 other teams in the league. You’re basically getting a starter caliber goaltender, and arguably would be the oilers best goaltender, at a million bucks for scraps.

We have 10 goaltenders in the system, Mann, Makiniemi, Chrona and Gaudreau are all better than Fanti. This trade is an easy pass.

San Jose has a pile of goaltending prospects, that can't be argued. The suggestion that all those prospects are better than Fanti can be argued. Regardless, we are a long time from knowing whether Reimer is even a consideration for the Oilers.

What would you want for Reimer?

From Edmonton? Puljujarvi. He’s also only got a year left and he wants out anyway.

Pulujarvi for Reimer? What else are we getting?

Reimer isn’t just the best goalie here, he’s a leader. The team looks up to him. He’s worth keeping regardless of having a playoff spot or not.

A reliable backup that can steal games in the playoffs in exchange for a 1st round bust that doesn't even want to be there? More like what else are we getting?

Reimer would be your best goalie. Close to Campbell in stats on a team that was 38 points worse. Just Puljujarvi is a steal

Don't know why the Sharks traded for ANOTHER goaltending prospect in the Burns trade

I’ve learned about the delusions of Sharks fans here… yikes

Asking for actual value for an excellent goalie is delusional? Keep your arguments on task instead of insulting an entire fanbase...

And trust me, I haven't seen much better from your crew.

Sure, he's the best goaltender the Sharks have, and they have a lot of them.

The Oilers don't need Reimer. They benefit more from either having JP start the season in the 3rd line and work to earn top-6 minutes, or trading JP for a player that actually fits a need.

When you have about 10 fans it’s tough to turn up on any survey

SJ is one of the most successful franchises of the last 20 years. Poor attempt at a comeback.
