Description

Plan is to rid of Tarasenko, Scandella’s contract.
Both players have ntc’s, so finding a place where they’d waive would be important.

New York is the best fit. Tarasenko will resign long term in new york, barzal gets a responsible sniper. Left side is weaker than right, so scandella lets there be a bit more depth. Enough cap space available to sign dobson and romanov. Islanders will have finally done something in the offseason.

Blues get two wingers with two years remaining, could trade one of them during 2023 offseason for draft picks. Both players would fit berube’s coaching style. Guarantees a chance at offering a decent contract to kyrou next season.

Ehh, it's not my AGM. And Bailey costs 4M more and is far less useful to the Blues. So no, they're not offsetting at all. Because of Bailey the Blues would offload 14M in cap over two years, while taking back 18M over two years. I know you are not that bad at simple math, man. Why would you even say something you know is false?

And what could possibly be that point of that? If the Blues are going to move Scandella it will be to clear cap, not refill it right back up.

2- Yes. So is their offensive winger stable. Bailey would be lucky to see the 3rd line. The Blues ain't taking on a 2x5 bottom 6'er, let alone a 33 yo one.
3- Not for a more expensive player it don't. Obviously.

5- And having more salary on the book next year is precisely the thing they need to avoid most.
