Obviously not lol, Detroit has a bunch of much better wingers right now and the roster is full with a bunch of young guys pushing for playing time. No room for him plus he isn't worth a first round pick to Detroit, maybe another team.
He said “a bunch” which doesn’t necessarily mean we have “too many” or “a lot”; it just means we’re set on wingers.

Detroit doesn't have that many better wingers than Garland
We have enough. With the aforementioned four wingers (who are all better than Garland), we also have youngsters like Berggren, Zadina & Veleno vying for spots in the middle 6, not to mention Soderblom who could surprise.

Raymond, Bertuzzi, Vrana, probably Perron too
All of them.

That's an easy no from Detroit.
Extremely easy No.

Not denying that Yzerman is doing a good job at managing the cap, the Chiarot signing not withstanding. I expect Perron to produce like a solid top six forward next season, but I don't see Rasmussen playing any higher than the 3rd line or producing any higher than the rate of a 3rd liner. I'm pretty convinced that will be his ceiling going forward
I think you’re spot on with Rasmussen, outside of him maybe developing into a weapon on the power play, I think he’s gonna live on the 3rd line.
The Chiarot signing has gotten some flack but, I think it was probably the most underrated AND appropriate signing of the offseason for any team. With Seider building off of his masterful rookie season where he threw his body around at will and tossed around guys that weren’t little by any means; he is certain to have a target on his back or at the bare minimum, the opposition will know he’s coming.
Chiarot alleviates that immensely and he’s going to play top pair minutes as an effective defensive oriented, enforcer type defenseman that Seider will largely benefit from and allow him to have an even better year than his rookie season.
