If Robertson signed that contract you'd think DAL had already inked him.

The value doesn't work either. DAL plans to compete, not retool.

It would def be more for Rob. But Det could offer sheet him as well, most likely to stay in the 1st 3 picks tier. Why hasn’t Dallas signed him yet? Like I said, one can dream, lol

Mmmmmm can't wait for Larkin to sign with the Jackets next summer. Gonna be sweet after hearing for years from Wings fans about how Werenski would either force his way out of Columbus or walk for Detroit as a UFA.

Honestly that scares me if Larkin doesn't resign here. The team is heading in the right direction so hopefully that is enough to make him want to resign with his hometown team.

Would be amazing but unlikely they could acquire those two players.

Imagine how attractive playing with your best buddy Werenski and between Gaudreau and Laine must be...

Yeah that dream was crushed for sure about a year ago. But it was over long before that, every time the local media starts discussing it that is like the nails in the coffin.

Especially since that we've already established with the Gaudreau precedent that Columbus is sufficiently close to home. wink

I would be very surprised if he does leave, honestly. Just, after years of being needled by folks who bought the Prodigal Son narrative hook line and sinker, sometimes a little payback-in-jest comes along. smile

Gaudreau would be cool, he would have to pick up the slack to cover for Laine everywhere else though.

Everyone going off of this comment and no one is pointing out that Columbus just had to dump cap space in order to sign Laine. I feel confident in saying Larkin won't be going there.

Also why is it a dream to have Werenski's contract?

If Larkin WANTS to sign here then it'll be just like the Gaudreau signing where we sign him now and ask questions later. It would most likely cost us by trading away Roslovic for cheap or adding a 1st to Voracek and shipping him out. But if Larkin wants Columbus it will 100% happen

It's extremely unlikely, to be sure. That post wasn't really meant to be taken literally.
