Tuch looked like a top 6 winger in Buffalo, and is his home team. Doubtful they move him for 2 guys Toronto views as cap dumps.

A middle 6 winger and pending UFA, an aging LD which is not a position of need, and a 4th line prospect doesn't get you Tuch. He's a heart and soul player who also happened to be one of the primary catalysts for the Sabres turnaround last season. He has size, speed, and plays in every situation. This entire proposal heavily favors Toronto.

Also moving up a few positions in the draft from what is likely a mid 2nd to a late first doesn't get you Peeke. He looks to be a solid top 4 Rd who played over 21 minutes a night while logging almost no PP time.

Why would CBJ trade away a young, cheap and decent RD who is an RFA and a young winger for moving up at most 15 spots in a draft. Take out the 2nd going back to Toronto and maybe CBJ accept

It's funny how often 3-way proposals just use the third team's assets as bargaining chips for the 1st and 2nd team to get a better return. There's nothing even close to good enough going to Buffalo in this trade for them to consider it.
