Coyle’s inability to play higher in the lineup limits his trade value. Boston legit had to use Erik Haula as their second line pivot because of him.

Also worth mentioning that contract may have negative value on its own.

The only reason he didn't play as our 2C was because he and Smith didn't mesh with Hall, If he plays with the right linemates he can do well

I don’t agree personally. I’d try and move him in a deal for Henrique who has less term and is the better player. But I don’t think anyone wants five years of Coyle tbh.

yeah I can understand the contract being an albatross but he's still one of the best 3C's in the league

I like my 3C to be faster than Coyle tbh. Dvorak, Pageau, Gourde etc
