This is the pure definition of a bridge contract, everybody's fine with that.

Kakko is good. He's defensively strong and takes fewer penalties than expected. He's the type of player I would expect to call good with a bunch of pushback on this board. However, he was picked highly, so I guess people will hold out for another year or two, then realize his production isn't great, and start to hate him while I continue to believe he's a solid 2nd-line type player.

He is very strong defensively for sure, but will he ever be a second line player if he can't get more than 50 points? Kakko reminds me of a Vatrano type player. Lets hope he can start scoring and end up better than Vatrano, I personally don't see why Kakko couldn't end up scoring 70 and being a solid defensive winger.

Still too soon to say. A lot of people don't enter the NHL until 21-23 so guys who enter early are somewhat unfairly compared.

But it is time to put up or shut up

I really hope they keep he kid line of Kaapo, alex and Filip. They at times were the most effective line in the postseason. With that said, next offseason is looking like a difficult one for the rangers with their limited cap, need to find a way to re-up K'andre

Would Lehkonen be a fair comparison? (Let's remember he wasn't an elite defender at the start of his career)

If you play on the 2nd line vs top competition, you don't have to score more than 50 points as long as your opponents score 45 points or w/e

Great deal for the Rangers. He certainly has the potential to be 1/4 as good as Hughes.
