Kylington has topped out as a player. He’s good but what you see is what you get. Severson is only 28 and has a lot of hockey in front of him before he declines

I'll definitely take the Lucic deal, but I would throw you guys back a 2023 5th. Lucic only has 750k in real money due.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves with Kylington here. The Flames clearly have depth on the left side and continue to sign D men, my guess is that they don't want to pay him his number at arbitration because he's only had one fairly decent season. Tons of blemishes in his game, turnover machine and looked lost without Tanev. Kylington is a bottom pairing D in Calgary this season, probably a good time to move him.

I like Toews but he is certainly not worth that thats significantly better than what Giroux got after putting up 42 points in 57 games

It’s really dishonest to say a 3rd line centre. He and Backlund are interchangeable in that lineup and this is Toews we are talking about here. This guy is a leader and perfect for Sutter. I can’t possibly think of a better player coach fit

And what you're giving up feels like a whole lot for one year of a 34 y.o. M6 C, at a a $5.25M hit, and two years of...whatever TJ is, at $4M.
