I would say that package for mcdavid is dreadfully low especially with retention...

Only chance to trade for McDavid is probably if Draisaitl leaves or he leaves for personal reasons.



Pretty much no chance that there would be any retention on a player like McDavid even if he had a year left. The ask to trade for him would already be a ton.

I gotta say, I have never seen anyone try a Pittsburgh trade for McDavid. They just don't have the assets for him.

Ironically, McDavid's NMC is the least issue here.

Honestly mcdavid starts with guentzel and rust. Then maybe 3-4 other top assets and then maybe they are talking.

Why waste your time here when you can play around in NHL 22 and do this lol!

I don't see it. With a 23 man roster and a cap, you need to maximize your talent on that top line. 2nd and 3rd lineers are a dime a dozen. You need at least a top line center going back, two top prospects, and 2 first rounders that aren't late round. Pittsburgh just doesn't have that, even if you include Crosby, who is nearing the end of his career.
