Description

I believe Greig would be ready for a top 9 role by the 23-24 season, so someone could be traded.

For now, I just put JBD in the top 6 since he is up for a new contract and Thomson can go back to the AHL without going through waivers.

I would like to see Weeger come to Ottawa but I feel like he would not fit under the cap unless Ottawa trade away some players.

Holtby can be any goalie that might sign for cheap but can also potentially take over the net is Forsberg is out or not playing well.

I think Soogard would benefit from going back to the AHL and getting some call up games in the NHL but starting in the AHL is always better then sitting on a bench all season.

Formenton won't play another game for Ottawa imo. Either he's involved and he's as good as done in the NHL, or he's not, in which case he's a luxury Ottawa can't afford on the 3rd line and their best NHL asset in a top 4 D trade.

If Søgaard builds on the season he had last year, I would be betting on him jumping to the NHL next season. If Forsberg can be close to where he was last season, they can confidently run that tandem.

Goalies are always weird, so I rather him start in the AHL than him ride the bench if Forsberg is playing well to not ruin his development.
